JMA Safety Limited was set up in 1997 by John Milward.                            

John has an engineering background and qualified as a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer. Whilst working for the Decca Group of Companies in the late 60's and early 70's, he was promoted to the position of Training Officer. John had found his niche, and during the ensuing years his employment with various companies was always based around training and personnel management with John developing a particular interest in Health & Safety.

Southern Safety Assessors was set up by John in collaboration with a colleague in 1999 to offer NVQ's in Health & Safety. SSA are Accredited to City & Guilds to offer NVQ levels 2, 3, 4 & 5.

John has been involved with the South West TEC's, now Learning & Skills Councils, since 1997 undertaking Health & Safety Training courses for Training Providers. He has also designed a number of courses for in-house training and is currently involved with five colleges as course tutor for the NEBOSH Certificate and Diploma Courses. He also works with NEBOSH as a national examiner. John's qualifications include:
